Team lead warehouse (RM)

About the Role

Modern Mills For Food Products Co. is seeking a Team Lead, Warehouse (RM) to manage the general materials warehouse at its mill in Al Jumum. This full-time role involves overseeing the receipt, storage, and issue of spare parts, consumables, lubricants, chemicals, and PPE, ensuring materials are available as needed by the plant. The Team Lead will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory in SAP and ensuring the warehouse adheres to food safety, hygiene, and HSE standards within a flour milling environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations for general materials, spare parts, and consumables to support production and maintenance.
• Oversee the receiving, inspection, storage, and issuing of materials against approved requests, applying FIFO/FEFO principles where applicable.
• Optimize warehouse layout, bin locations, and space utilization to enhance accessibility and material flow.
• Ensure all material movements are accurately and timely recorded in SAP (MM/WM).
• Plan and lead periodic cycle counts and annual stock-takes, including investigating and resolving variances.
• Monitor stock levels, set and review min/max parameters, and identify slow-moving, obsolete, and critical items.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Maintenance, and Production to anticipate material requirements and prevent stock-outs of critical spares.
• Follow up on open purchase orders and delivery timelines with Procurement and suppliers.
• Ensure warehouse practices comply with food safety (HACCP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000), GMP, pest control, and HSE requirements.
• Enforce safe storage and handling procedures for chemicals, hazardous materials, and heavy items.
• Support internal and external audits and facilitate the closure of related findings.
• Lead, schedule, and develop warehouse staff, providing training on material handling, safety, and SAP transactions.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory accuracy, stock value, utilization, and warehouse KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in materials management and warehouse efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations or materials management.
