R&D Specialist

About the Role

astrix pharma is seeking an R&D Specialist with a focus on formulation to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is based in either Al-Kharj or Riyadh and requires an individual with demonstrated experience in product development within the food and pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. The specialist will play a key role in ensuring high-quality standards throughout the production process.

Role Overview

The R&D Specialist will be responsible for the formulation and development of new products, contributing to a leading company in the food and pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. This role involves applying extensive experience in product development to meet stringent quality requirements and support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and formulate various dosage forms for pharmaceutical products.
• Conduct formulation development, optimization, pilot trials, and scale-up processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues encountered during trials and scale-up phases.
• Prepare and document formulation details, manufacturing processes, and product development records.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in Formulation & Product Development.
• Strong experience in developing and formulating various dosage forms.
• Demonstrated experience in Formulation Development, Optimization, Pilot Trials & Scale-up.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues during Trials and Scale-up.
• Experience in Food Supplements is preferred, in addition to pharmaceutical formulations.
• Ability to prepare and document Formulation, Manufacturing Process, and Product Development Documents.
