About the Accounting Manager Role
Alfa Laval is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time position involves leading and developing the financial accounting function, ensuring all financial accounting, cost accounting, and reporting activities align with company protocols and procedures. The role requires a minimum of 5-10 years of experience.
Role Purpose and Scope
The primary purpose of this role is to manage and develop the financial accounting function, taking a leadership position to ensure compliance with company reporting protocols and procedures. The Accounting Manager will assume full ownership of AL Arabia and AL RHQ financial statements, oversee all finance-related internal control processes, and ensure reporting and accounting systems comply with local laws, IFRS, ALMEA, and Group Policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the adoption and implementation of the strategic direction within the Finance Department.
- Manage statutory and group accounting, book closing, and monthly reporting for all KSA entities, ensuring data quality, compliance, and timeliness.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, and analyze deviations.
- Oversee fund investments, manage associated risks, and supervise cash management activities.
- Manage disbursement and accounting for Payroll, Bonus, Leave & EOSB, coordinating with local and regional HR to comply with local labor laws.
- Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory and group rules.
- Forecast costs and financial affairs of the companies.
- Manage cash flow and associated risks.
- Uphold procedures for the custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities to ensure safekeeping.
- Coordinate risk and insurance programs to control risks and losses.
- Inform ALMEA management of new applicable legal requirements, rules, and regulations in a timely manner and propose adequate actions.
- Liaise and coordinate all relevant issues with local banks.
- Prepare and execute financial and tax audits in cooperation with ALMEA finance management and the appointed audit firm.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, Income Tax, Payroll taxes, and WHT regulations, including tax return filings.
- Ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations.
- Manage performance, coach, and provide on-the-job training to staff.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks, initiatives, and projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Professional certification (ACCA, AICPA, CA, or CIMA).
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience working with external audits.
- Strong practical knowledge of IFRS and applicable tax regulations.
- Solid experience within internal control frameworks, including business process design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Relevant industry experience in a similar role and level of responsibility.

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. Key relationships include the Country General Manager, Regional Finance Manager, Regional Finance Director, VP Customer Excellence, Business Controller, Finance Shared Services, and Accountants.
