Estimation Manager Mechanical (Saudi National)

About the Role

Nesma & Partners is seeking an experienced Estimation Manager – Mechanical (Oil & Gas) to lead and oversee mechanical estimation activities. This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern region, and focuses on major Oil & Gas projects.

Role Overview

The Estimation Manager will be responsible for managing the entire estimation process, from initial tender review through final cost submission. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects, possessing deep technical knowledge of mechanical systems, cost estimation, tendering, and commercial evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical estimation activities for Oil & Gas projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and commercially viable cost proposals.
• Review tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, scope of work, and contractual requirements to identify project needs and potential risks.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical works, including piping, pipelines, static and rotating equipment, pressure vessels, tanks, and related Oil & Gas facilities.
• Prepare and review material take-offs (MTOs), quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to validate technical assumptions and cost estimates.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, conduct technical and commercial comparisons, and negotiate competitive pricing.
• Establish estimation strategies, methodologies, cost databases, and benchmarking practices.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, risks, and value engineering alternatives.
• Lead and mentor the mechanical estimation team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely submission of tenders.
• Ensure all estimates comply with client requirements, project specifications, and company standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical estimation, specifically within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Demonstrated strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Proven experience in cost estimation, tendering, and commercial evaluation.
• Ability to lead and manage estimation teams effectively.
