ETL Lead

About the Role

Gulf International Bank is seeking an ETL Lead to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time role focuses on expanding and optimizing the bank's data EDW architecture and DWH model. The position involves building data pipelines and performing data wrangling to enhance and construct data systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data services, interfaces, and real-time data pipelines using existing, new, and emerging technologies and data engineering techniques.
• Lead engineering efforts on projects and facilitate communication and collaboration with clients.
• Develop and test data workflows, pipelines, schemas, extracts, and data transformations to ensure data integrity from source to target and other downstream systems.
• Enhance the data management strategy by acquiring and warehousing new data sources from both internal and external organizational channels.
• Translate complex technical information into business terms for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
• Contribute to the adoption of robust data engineering architecture, development practices, and new technologies.
• Proactively develop and manage relationships with senior and middle management stakeholders to understand reporting and dashboard needs.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation while delivering technical solutions and business impacts.
• Build infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources using SQL and other integration technologies.
• Collaborate with data architecture and other units to define clear data integration strategies and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience is required.
• Extensive experience in advanced data management techniques, including Data Quality (DQ), Master Data Management (MDM), Metadata Management, and Data Modelling.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in SQL and other data integration technologies.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to assimilate large quantities of complex information.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
