About the Role
Marco is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer (Aramco Approved) to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across our projects. The successful candidate will play a vital role in implementing and monitoring safety protocols, contributing to a secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys in association with the project management team to ensure safe working methods and adherence to all regulations.
- Oversee the recording and analysis of information related to injuries, damage, and loss.
- Assess accident trends and review overall safety performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with safety induction and training programs for employees at all levels within the project.
- Promote awareness of injury prevention and damage control among all personnel.
- Provide feedback on the effectiveness and implementation of new safety policies or procedures.
Accident Investigation and Prevention
A core aspect of this role involves proactive measures to prevent incidents and thorough investigation when they occur. The HSE Officer will:
- Determine the root cause of any accident or dangerous occurrence and recommend effective preventative measures.
- Advise the Safety Manager and Project Management Team on preventing personnel injury and damage to plant and equipment.
- Offer guidance on further improvements to existing sound working methods and legal requirements affecting safety, health, and welfare.
Safety Compliance and Advisory Functions
The HSE Officer will serve as a key advisor on safety matters, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of safety. This includes:
- Maintaining regular contact with relevant authorities, officials, and professional bodies.
- Staying current with recommended codes of practice and new safety literature, circulating applicable information to employees.
- Advising on the provision and proper use of protective clothing and equipment.
- Highlighting potential hazards on new contracts before work commences and providing input on site safety organization.
- Recommending safe working methods arising from new developments and technologies.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment role.
- Must be Aramco Approved.
