About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Human Resources Manager I to join the team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role involves working with Human Resources staff to manage daily HR office activities, including recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. The manager will focus on delivering HR services that meet employee needs and support business success, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment and hiring process, including assisting with interviews, establishing external recruitment contacts, attending job fairs, and overseeing candidate identification and selection.
  • Provide expertise to property managers on selection procedures and partner with vendors for effective advertisement of open positions.
  • Administer and educate employees on benefits, working with unemployment services providers, preparing reports, and representing the property at unemployment hearings.
  • Oversee employee development by supporting departmental orientation programs, ensuring cross-training, utilizing on-the-job training tools, and facilitating new hire orientation.
  • Maintain employee relations by assisting with communication channels, reviewing progressive discipline documentation, addressing employee concerns, and partnering on accident investigations.
  • Ensure legal and compliance practices are followed, including maintaining employee files, ensuring privacy compliance, managing medical records, and facilitating drug testing processes where applicable.
  • Communicate property rules and regulations, ensure safety and security policies are disseminated, conduct claims reviews, and manage Workers' Compensation claims.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage recruitment, compensation, and training functions.
  • Familiarity with applicable employment laws, regulations, and operating procedures.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and quality control skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple HR functions concurrently.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern, within the hospitality industry at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. The role involves working as part of the property Human Resources support staff.
