PAUT Technician

About the Role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a PAUT Technician to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves performing advanced ultrasonic testing and preparing detailed reports for clients. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience in PAUT and/or TOFD.

Responsibilities

• Perform Advanced Ultrasonic Testing (AUT), Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), and Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) across various job types.
• Liaise directly with clients to understand requirements and provide updates.
• Prepare comprehensive Scan Plans using the ES Beam tool.
• Collect data at site locations and interpret it using Tomoview / OMNIPC software.
• Prepare reports in accordance with diverse client specifications.
• Operate PAUT machines, specifically Olympus MX2 / MX3 models.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Must possess NDT Level II certification by BINDT (PCN)/CSWIP in PAUT / TOFD.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in PAUT and/or TOFD is required.
• Knowledge of other Advanced NDT Methods is considered an advantage.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in performing advanced ultrasonic testing techniques.
• Ability to prepare technical reports accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction.
• Competence in operating PAUT equipment and relevant software.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
