TPE IV/Senior Site Structural Engineer

About the Opportunity

Wood is seeking a TPE IV/Senior Site Structural Engineer to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position supports our projects business, contributing to the development of a new gold mine and processing facility located at a remote site within Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will play a key role in a significant project involving the establishment of a new gold mine and processing facility.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage structural and infrastructure works, including various building construction types, building design, equipment foundation design, and pipe and cable tray support design.
• Originate new engineering deliverables and revise existing ones.
• Review and check engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
• Supervise engineering work produced by junior engineers.
• Participate in and conduct job-related training as required.
• Plan and complete work effectively within allocated man-hours to prevent slippage.
• Interface, coordinate, and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other team members.
• Delegate and distribute work, and manage team billability.
• Coordinate with all disciplines as necessary for the preparation and development of deliverables, ensuring the incorporation of other disciplines' input.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and perform mark-up drawings or as-built activities.
• Manage deliverables submission, including required quality checks and proper record management.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Perform technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and subcontract scope management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• Proven field engineering experience within site-based or project environments.
• Strong understanding of engineering, construction, and field operations, preferably within industrial or mining projects.
• Experience within the mining industry is preferred.

Work Setting

This role is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia, and involves supporting a project for a new gold mine and processing facility at a remote site. The position is full-time.
