Field Operator

About the Role

Acwa Operations is seeking a Field Operator to join our team in Al Qurayyat, Eastern region. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves monitoring system operation parameters locally while coordinating closely with the CCR Operator on all operational activities. The Field Operator is also responsible for the safe start-up and shut-down of the plant in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety rules and regulations, and maintain familiarity with fire equipment in the designated area.
• Follow instructions from the Shift Supervisor/Shift Charge Engineer and CCR Operator.
• Be familiar with plant P&IDs, SOPs, work instructions, basic control logics, emergency operation procedures, and other relevant documentation.
• Monitor all operational parameters, record periodic readings on log sheets, and summarize all shift activities/events in the log book.
• Inspect the area and auxiliaries during the shift to ensure all equipment parameters are within limits, reporting any abnormalities to the CCR Operator.
• Perform equipment changeovers according to preset schedules and raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.
• Coordinate with the CCR Operator/Shift Supervisor for isolating and lining up equipment and systems before and after maintenance.
• Maintain tidy housekeeping in the work area and ensure proper clean-up after maintenance work.
• Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions diligently.
• Assist in the training and familiarization of new operators.
• Report near misses and implement prescribed risk controls.
• Report deviations in the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System.
• Ensure proper waste disposal measures are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for the Field Operator position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in plant operations. A strong understanding of operational parameters, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures is essential for this role.

Work Environment

This role requires readiness to work in a remote location within Al Qurayyat, Eastern region. The Field Operator will be an integral part of the operations team, ensuring the smooth and safe functioning of plant systems.
