Field Operator

About the Role

ACWA Power is seeking experienced Field Operators for full-time opportunities within power generation and water desalination plants across Saudi Arabia. This role is essential for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment through diligent inspection, monitoring, and coordination with control room personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine field inspections to monitor equipment conditions, operating parameters, and identify potential issues such as leaks, vibration, or unusual noises.
• Inspect RO desalination equipment, including pretreatment systems, chemical dosing, high-pressure pumps, membrane trains, and energy recovery devices, or CCGT equipment, including turbine auxiliaries, steam-water systems, cooling systems, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Perform authorized local equipment start-up, shutdown, line-up, and changeover activities in coordination with the control room.
• Monitor local instruments, verify equipment status, and report abnormal conditions to the CCR Operator and Shift Supervisor.
• Support maintenance activities, including equipment isolation, permit-to-work requirements, and safe return-to-service procedures.
• Assist with RO flushing and cleaning-in-place (CIP) activities or CCGT auxiliary-system operations, as applicable.
• Maintain accurate field operating logs, report equipment defects, and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Comply with HSE standards, safe chemical handling procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental protection practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 4-5 years of relevant experience in power generation or water desalination plant operations. The role requires a strong understanding of field equipment operation and monitoring protocols.

Work Environment

This is a plant-based position located in Saudi Arabia, involving shift-based operations. The role requires active participation in field inspections, equipment monitoring, and support during plant start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency situations.
