About the BIM Technician Role

Lahim | لاحــــم is seeking a BIM Technician to join our team in Buraydah, Al Qasim, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting architectural teams in the delivery of coordinated, production-ready Building Information Modeling (BIM) models and comprehensive drawing packages.

Role Purpose and Scope

The BIM Technician will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust Revit models, generating accurate documentation, and ensuring architectural information is properly coordinated with structural and MEP disciplines. A strong documentation discipline is essential, requiring adherence to project standards, checklists, naming/archiving protocols, and QA/QC procedures to ensure all submittals are consistent and ready for internal review and external issuance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain architectural Revit models across project phases (SD/DD/CD), ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and consistency.
• Produce coordinated drawings and sheets from the BIM model, including plans, sections, elevations, details, and schedules, with correct annotations and standards.
• Manage model organization (levels, grids, worksets, view templates, filters, naming standards) and maintain lightweight, stable, and structured files.
• Integrate consultant inputs, align models/drawings, and resolve clashes, gaps, and inconsistencies in collaboration with the project team.
• Identify coordination risks early (clearances, penetrations, ceiling conflicts, shafts, plant rooms) and support issue logs and follow-ups.
• Maintain documentation hygiene, including clean tags, dimensions, keynotes, legends, details callouts, sheet indexing, and plotting outputs (Lineweights, CTB/standards).
• Apply project/phase checklists to every submittal, self-check outputs, and support internal QA/QC before submissions, including submitting signed checklists when required.
• Implement changes accurately and efficiently, keep revision clouds/notes aligned with release logs, and ensure correct file versioning.
• Follow firm standards for templates, shared parameters, families, sheet setup, naming conventions, and archiving protocols.
• Attend kick-off and coordination meetings, capture technical actions, and convert decisions into clean model/drawing updates.
• Assist architects and technical leads with BIM-related tasks (exporting views, preparing packages, maintaining libraries, troubleshooting).
• Stay up-to-date with BIM workflows and contribute to improving internal systems (templates, family library, automation, plotting workflows).

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural BIM modeling and construction documentation.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, encompassing modeling, documentation, sheets, view control, and coordination discipline.
• Strong proficiency in CAD, including 2D detailing, plotting, and producing clean drafting output.
• A solid understanding of architectural documentation, constructability basics, and coordination with consultants.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and consistent in applying standards, meeting deadlines, and maintaining quality.
