Application Engineer R & D

About the Role

SKM Air Conditioning is seeking an Application Engineer (R&D) – HVAC Products to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role focuses on product development, technical support, and continuous improvement initiatives within the HVAC sector. The position requires 2-5 years of experience.

Role Overview

The Application Engineer will contribute to the development of HVAC solutions and products. This involves managing technical documentation, evaluating software and application requirements, and customizing products based on customer needs. The role also supports product improvements, cost optimization, and new product development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain technical documentation, including Catalogues, IOM Manuals, Technical Data Sheets, BOMs, Design Data, and Specifications.
• Evaluate and support HVAC selection software and product application requirements.
• Review customer requirements and customize products through Contract Review Forms (CRF).
• Drive product improvements, cost optimization, and new product development initiatives.
• Coordinate engineering work orders and ensure technical accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support to Sales, Production, Quality, and After-Sales teams.
• Support product certifications, compliance activities, and testing requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC products, including AHU (Air Handling Units), FCU (Fan Coil Units), FAHU, ERU, Chillers, Heat Exchangers, Cooling & Heating Coils, and Airside Products.
• Experience in technical documentation, product customization, BOM preparation, and engineering support.
