About Zamil Industrial and the Role
Zamil Industrial is seeking a Contracts Administration Engineer to join its team in Dammam. This full-time role is integral to the development and expansion of an in-house Contracts Department, specifically to support ZODCON.
Role Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to the effective establishment and growth of the internal Contracts Department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing contractual capabilities and support structures within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Administering contracts within Construction, Design & Build, EPC, and EPCM environments.
- Managing claims and disputes effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with contract terms, insurances, and applicable laws.
- Contributing to the development of contracting methods and arbitration processes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification/post-graduate experience, with at least 3 years specifically in the contracting field.
- Demonstrated experience with FIDIC and/or NEC or other industry-related contracts, contracting methods, and arbitration.
- Proven experience in contract administration, claims, and disputes within Construction, Design & Build, EPC, and EPCM environments.
- Experience in contract administration for major building, infrastructure, and industrial projects, gained with an engineering company, employers, or contractors.
- Clear understanding of contracts, insurances, and applicable laws.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Proficiency in MSOffice (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio, MS Project); knowledge of Primavera is an advantage.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of construction and related issues.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Keen commercial awareness.
- Strong mathematical and IT skills.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.
- Ability to effectively meet work deadlines.
Work Setting and Location
This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role requires the capability to travel internationally as needed.
