About the Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a Dentist GP Assistant to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive chairside assistance to general and specialist dentists during clinical and surgical dental procedures, alongside performing essential clinical supportive functions. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist dentists in a wide range of diagnostic, operative, surgical, periodontal, preventive, orthodontic, prosthodontic, endodontic, and pedodontic procedures during patient examination and treatment.
• Participate directly in patient examinations and treatments by retracting cheeks and tissues, and by irrigating and aspirating mouth fluids without causing harm or discomfort.
• Anticipate the dentist’s needs and practice four-handed dentistry to ensure efficient operative procedures for patients.
• Perform expanded duty procedures under the direct supervision of the dentist as required.

Clinical Support Functions

• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfortable dismissal post-treatment.
• Execute point-of-use cleaning of instrumentation and disinfect equipment according to established protocols.
• Maintain adequate supply order for clinical operations.

Patient Care and Documentation

• Review patient medical histories, alert the dentist to significant problems, and assist in updating patient history records, flagging charts for important notes.
• Accurately chart findings of oral conditions as reported by the dentist and record all rendered treatments in the patient’s permanent chart.
• Provide post-operative instructions to patients as prescribed by the dentist and instruct them in home care procedures.
• Maintain proficiency in First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to effectively handle medical emergencies until the dentist arrives or additional medical help is available.
• Maintain applicable records and perform other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the dentist.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of experience in providing dental assistance, demonstrating proficiency in the responsibilities outlined above.
