About the Role

Alfanar Engineering Services is seeking a Design Engineer Transformer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position involves comprehensive engineering activities related to transformer design, repair, retrofit, and service, ensuring compliance with industry and customer standards.

Job Summary

The Design Engineer Transformer will be responsible for all engineering aspects concerning transformers, including reverse engineering, fault analysis, and the preparation of technical documentation. The role also provides essential support for tender processes and ensures adherence to specific customer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reverse engineering on failed transformers for rewinding and refurbishment projects.
• Provide design and technical support for transformer repair, retrofit, and service initiatives.
• Prepare, review, and maintain engineering drawings, design documents, and Bills of Material (BOMs) within SAP.
• Conduct transformer fault analysis and review inspection/failure reports.
• Analyze transformer protection and control circuits.
• Review and prepare technical proposals, tender documents, and cost sheets.
• Maintain ISO documentation and work order records.
• Ensure compliance with ARAMCO, SEC, NG, and other applicable industry standards.
• Coordinate technical matters with internal departments, customers, and suppliers.
• Support troubleshooting activities related to transformer manufacturing, testing, and service.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in transformer design and related engineering activities. The position requires a strong technical background to manage complex design, repair, and service projects effectively.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, within the Eastern region. The role involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, requiring strong communication and coordination skills.
