Engineer Mechanical Quantity Surveying

About the Role

Zamil Industrial is seeking a Mechanical Quantity Surveying Engineer to join their team in Dammam. This full-time role focuses on leading Quantity Surveying (QS) activities at the project site to ensure delivery within budget quantities and to achieve overall project goals. The Engineer will collaborate closely with the QS Manager, Project Management Team (PMT), contractors, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses both site-based QS work and control responsibilities, ensuring meticulous management of project quantities and financial aspects.

QS Site Work Responsibilities

• Study and validate Tender Documents for company projects.
• Prepare bills of quantities.
• Verify quantities for purchase requests against the Project Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Update Materials Packaging.
• Update Variation Orders (VOs) Log.
• Update Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) Log and report for projects.
• Review and validate Sub Contractors' IPCs.
• Verify IPC documents, including drawings, Material Inspection Requests (MIR), Work Inspection Requests (WIR), and earned quantities.
• Prepare VO documents.
• Review and validate VOs with the QS team at the site for projects.
• Prepare invoices and invoicing reports for projects.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.

QS Control Responsibilities

• Monitor and control Project BOQ, Purchase Requests (PRs), IPCs, client invoicing, and VOs to achieve project goals.
• Work closely with the QS Manager to ensure and meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Cost Control department to keep all data aligned with their reports.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of project-related quantities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
