Heavy Driver

About the Role

ADB Safegate is seeking a Heavy Driver to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position involves providing general assistance and support to technical teams, focusing on corrective and preventive maintenance activities for Airfield Lighting, A-VDGS, CCTV equipment, and related airport infrastructure. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute work orders as assigned by Maintenance Management and Officers/Engineers, including airside operations.
• Assist in the emergency replacement of broken equipment (corrective maintenance) or according to scheduled preventive maintenance plans.
• Participate in general custodial maintenance services to ensure the acceptable appearance of Airfield Lighting, A-VDGS, and CCTV facilities.
• Perform maintenance tasks in the workshop during stand-by service or planned maintenance activities.
• Conduct disassembly, inspection, part replacement, reassembly, and checks of equipment such as lighting fixtures, constant current regulators, A-VDGS, and CCTV.
• Work in shifts (morning/afternoon/night) as defined by Officers/Engineers.
• Participate in training sessions to maintain and enhance competencies.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks for vehicles, equipment, and tools, including inspections, fluid checks and replacements, greasing, and cleaning of work areas.
• Exercise necessary care and caution when handling and operating equipment (MEWP) and tools, adhering to airport-specific safety policies and responsibilities concerning safety, prevention, reporting, and monitoring.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, materials, and tools used in maintenance, installation, and repair.
• Understanding of hazards and safety precautions associated with aircraft operations and high voltage airfield lighting systems.

Work Environment

This role operates within the airport environment, requiring adherence to strict safety protocols and potentially involving work in various weather conditions and during non-standard hours. The position is based in Dammam, Eastern Region.
