About the Role
GE Vernova is seeking a Full-time Inspector to join its operations team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to maintaining stringent quality standards throughout the repair processes for gas turbine components.
Role Summary
The Inspector will be responsible for executing quality inspection tasks within cell operations. This involves developing comprehensive knowledge of quality aspects in operations and performing inspections at various stages, including incoming, in-process, and final inspection during the repair of gas turbine components. The role also requires the ability to prepare detailed technical reports on job conditions and any defects identified during operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming and final inspections on gas turbine components to identify nonconformances or defects.
- Interpret, measure, and evaluate inspection results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Adhere to all GEMTEC policies and procedures, and actively promote Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, and compliance on the shop floor.
- Prepare technical reports detailing job conditions and defects observed in operations.
Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma combined with relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of EHS and quality requirements within manufacturing operations.
- Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
- Proficiency in writing clear and concise technical reports.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Competency in using MS Office applications.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Quality inspection experience of 5 to 10 years.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quality, Safety, shop computer systems, and Shop Support requirements.
- Ability to interpret and read drawings and Repair Engineering Instructions (REIs).
- Experience in using various measuring instruments, such as calipers and dial indicators.
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certification.
- Familiarity with SAP systems is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
