About the Role

Silqfi is seeking a Legal Executive to provide comprehensive legal support to the Head of Legal. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Region, and involves executing Saudi legal workstreams. The role requires strong legal support at the preparation, execution, and follow-through levels, ensuring legal workstreams are properly documented, reviewed, and progressed in a timely manner.

Role Context and Impact

The Legal function at Silqfi supports critical areas including regulatory positioning, commercial structuring, financing arrangements, funding readiness, product governance, and supplier and buyer arrangements. This role is instrumental in enabling the Head of Legal to focus on strategic direction and senior stakeholder alignment, while reducing reliance on external counsel for execution-level work. The Legal Executive will contribute to managing bilingual Saudi law documentation and coordinating with external counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare first drafts and review commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, customer terms, reseller arrangements, NDAs, service agreements, and routine operational contracts.
• Conduct first-level legal research on SAMA-related matters, payment services, financing, fintech, PDPL, AML/KYC, e-commerce, and Saudi commercial law, preparing concise summaries for review.
• Support strategic project implementation through documentation preparation, tracker management, and closing checklists.
• Assist with SAMA licensing and regulatory pathway readiness, including regulatory mapping, document collection, research notes, internal memos, and external counsel coordination.
• Contribute to external funding readiness by assisting with document management, contract clean-up, due diligence preparation, corporate documents, and coordination with external counsel.
• Draft and review bilingual Arabic-English documents, ensuring consistency between both versions and escalating inconsistencies for further review.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (finance, product, commercial, operations, compliance) to gather information, prepare drafts, manage trackers, and ensure efficient progression of legal requests.
• Support preliminary legal research, documentation mapping, and external counsel coordination for potential future jurisdictional expansion into other GCC or regional areas.
• Maintain legal trackers, contract repositories, approval records, version control, execution checklists, and internal legal documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3 to 6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within a commercial, finance, fintech, technology, marketplace, or startup environment.
• Familiarity with SAMA-related matters, or proven ability to conduct research on SAMA, payment services, financing, fintech, and related Saudi regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to draft and review commercial agreements, supplier agreements, customer terms, NDAs, platform terms, notices, and routine legal documents.
• Good understanding of commercial risk, payment flows, settlement mechanics, and contractual protections.
• Ability to support multiple internal stakeholders and ensure execution in a fast-moving startup environment.

• Strong legal research and memo-writing skills, with the ability to distil complex regulatory issues into actionable summaries.
• Practical legal judgment and an ownership mindset, capable of managing trackers, closing documentation loops, and escalating appropriately.
• Experience with due diligence processes, contract repositories, and legal operations in a structured environment.
• Exposure to fintech, payments, PDPL, AML/KYC, or SAMA regulatory frameworks is a significant advantage.
