About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking an Operator, Slag Handling, to join our team in Dammam. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on overseeing slag handling operations within the SMS area, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee slag handling operations in the SMS area, including slag and tapping pits located under furnaces.
• Ensure the smooth movement of the Ladle Transfer Car (LTC) by performing track cleaning and maintenance.
• Conduct housekeeping duties and maintain cleanliness around the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), slag pits, and surrounding areas.
• Manage the safe cooling of hot slag at dumping areas using water shower methods.
• Support shutdown activities through the cleaning of pits, quenching towers, and chamber areas.
• Assist in emergency situations, such as slag overflow, and ensure safe working conditions are maintained.
• Adhere to company safety rules and Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) policies, ensuring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Report unsafe conditions and accidents, and provide support for other operational and housekeeping tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in slag handling or similar industrial operations.
• Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols and HS&E policies.
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment related to slag handling.

Work Environment

This role is based in Dammam and operates on a full-time schedule within an industrial setting, requiring adherence to strict safety guidelines and operational procedures.
