Safety Officer

About the Role

Al Shuwayer Group of Companies is seeking a Safety Officer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position involves developing and implementing health and safety plans to ensure compliance with legal guidelines and maintain a safe working environment. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace in accordance with legal guidelines.
• Advise the Safety Manager on safety compliance concerns and recommend preventative actions.
• Produce reports and develop relevant policies related to health and safety.
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
• Perform safety surveys and inspections, preparing written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures.
• Follow up to ensure that recommended safety measures have been implemented effectively.
• Monitor compliance with safety policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
• Plan and implement training programs for employees in worksite safety practices.
• Identify and correct potential hazards through regular inspection of facilities, machinery, and safety equipment.
• Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to ensure they meet safety requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a safety-related role.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement health and safety plans.
• Proficiency in producing reports and developing policies.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, within the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia. The Safety Officer will work closely with the Safety Manager and other operational teams to uphold safety standards across the company's operations.
