About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior EHS Manager to oversee all environment, health, and safety matters for the SEC2 BULK program. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Region, and involves managing operations across 14 work sites throughout Saudi Arabia. The role reports functionally to a PCS EHS leader and requires close collaboration with other GE Vernova businesses in Saudi Arabia to ensure a unified EHS approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop strategic EHS frameworks.
  • Manage all EHS KPIs and foster a STOP WORK culture.
  • Recruit and train EHS resources to lead multicultural organizations and teams.
  • Drive the implementation of GE Vernova, regulatory, and customer EHS expectations within project activities, including at customer sites and workshops.
  • Lead and ensure the implementation of the Project EHS Plan and site procedures from pre-mobilization to demobilization.
  • Coordinate GE Vernova site EHS programs (*, Life Saving Rules, Contractor Management) and assist site managers, supervisors, and subcontractors in their implementation.
  • Actively support the Project operational team in EHS matters within their scope.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the operational team to drive expected EHS performance and culture across all operations.
  • Ensure appropriate EHS resources are available within the scope.
  • Work closely with the Program EHS Leader and other GE Vernova EHS teams in KSA.
  • Consolidate and drive EHS data.
  • Coordinate the delivery of EHS training as required.
  • Coordinate with the Regional EHS Leader for incident investigations, ensuring accidents and compliance incidents are investigated, documented, and reported.
  • Ensure all internal and external EHS reporting is completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure GE Vernova, legal, and customer compliance within the scope.
  • Implement and conduct audit programs to identify existing or potential EHS hazards and liabilities, and determine corrective or preventative measures.
  • Conduct journey management surveys, site audit inspections, and accommodation/canteen audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must have the legal right to work in Saudi Arabia without company sponsorship or time restrictions.
  • 5-10 years of experience in an EHS capacity.

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience working on Saudi Energy (SE) projects in an EHS capacity.
  • Robust background in EHS contract management to ensure compliance and effective oversight.
  • Deep technical knowledge and a proven track record in contractor prequalification processes.
  • Experience managing teams cross-functionally and in a global multi-cultural organization.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with major environmental regulatory and permitting programs addressing subjects including air quality, water quality, hazardous chemical management, and industrial safety.
  • Experience with and knowledge of independent standards organizations and certification programs such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Professional certification/credentials in safety management, environmental management, industrial hygiene, or engineering issued by a recognized professional organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the successful delivery of results through effective EHS program development, implementation, and management.
  • Strong "consultant" skills, including the ability to influence and motivate leaders and employees through collaborative engagement and relationship building.
  • High energy, motivation, and commitment to take personal ownership of issues and drive them to exceptional outcomes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical reports and regulatory documents/standards, make sound judgments, and offer effective solutions.
