Senior Project Accountant

About the Role

Abunayyan Holding is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role focuses on supporting financial performance across various projects and contracts, ensuring robust financial management and reporting.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of multiple projects. This includes managing budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project accounting, particularly within environments such as EPC, systems integration, technology, or industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, costs, profitability, and overall financial performance.
• Manage project financial forecasts, cost-to-complete analysis, and cash-flow projections.
• Track project invoicing, revenue recognition, receivables, and collections.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and identify potential project financial risks.
• Support tender pricing, contract reviews, and financial evaluations.
• Collaborate with project managers, commercial teams, and the Finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and controls.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in project accounting or project financial control.
• Experience in EPC, industrial projects, systems integration, or related sectors is required.
• Strong knowledge of project costing, invoicing, collections, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of IFRS and project revenue recognition principles.
• Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CMA, or ACCA are considered an advantage.
