Senior Technician Mechanical

About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking a Senior Technician, Mechanical to join their team in Dammam. This full-time role involves contributing to shift and general maintenance activities, reporting findings, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with shift and general shift maintenance activities as per job requirements and instructions from the Foreman/Supervisor.
• Report findings and issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Apply acquired skills effectively, prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to the PM plan for melt shop equipment, including Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and auxiliary equipment.

Professional Competencies

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with shift maintenance.
• Ability to carry out various shift jobs, including hose, panel, delta, burner, gearbox, pumps, cylinders, valves, and roller replacement, repairing, and assembly.
• Possession of multiple skills, including welding.
• Experience working during breakdown and shutdown maintenance periods.
• Familiarity with Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Knowledge of work permit procedures.
• Understanding of 5S methodology.

Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Compliance

• Understand and adhere to organizational HS&E policies.
• Follow safety instructions related to jobs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Report damaged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), unsafe machines, or equipment to relevant staff.
• Maintain provided PPEs in good, workable condition.
• Avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
• Report any accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to responsible personnel.
• Attend planned safety trainings.
• Exercise the right to refuse any unsafe work.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 3 years of experience in a relevant mechanical technician role.
