Trainee Mechanic

About the Role

Virtucruit is collaborating with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia to recruit a Trainee Mechanic for the Drilling Department in Dammam. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are looking to develop a career in mechanical maintenance within the mining and drilling sector. The Trainee Mechanic will work alongside experienced technicians, assisting in the maintenance and repair of drilling equipment while gaining practical technical experience.

Role Purpose

This role offers an opportunity for a motivated individual to acquire practical mechanical skills and contribute to the maintenance and reliability of drilling operations. The Trainee Mechanic will support the team in ensuring equipment readiness and operational efficiency within a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with the maintenance and repair of drilling rigs and heavy equipment.
• Support equipment inspections and routine servicing tasks.
• Help diagnose mechanical faults under supervision.
• Assist with the dismantling, cleaning, and reassembly of mechanical components.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in proper condition.
• Support preventive maintenance activities on drilling machinery.
• Ensure equipment is prepared and available for operational requirements.

Safety and Development

• Follow all safety procedures and site regulations.
• Participate in training programs and technical development initiatives.
