About the Role

Virtucruit is collaborating with a prominent mining company in Saudi Arabia to recruit Drill Fitters / Mechanics for their Maintenance Department. This full-time position is based in Dammam and involves the maintenance, repair, and assembly of drilling rigs and associated equipment. The role aims to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient drilling operations by diagnosing mechanical issues, performing necessary repairs, and supporting the operational readiness of drilling equipment.

Role Purpose and Context

The Drill Fitter / Mechanic will play a key role in maintaining the operational integrity and performance of critical drilling machinery. This position contributes directly to the reliability of equipment within a dynamic mining environment, ensuring that all drilling operations meet safety and efficiency standards. The successful candidate will apply their mechanical expertise to support continuous operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and assembly tasks for drilling rigs and related machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems to identify faults and implement effective solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections and servicing to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report any identified issues to supervisors promptly.
• Assist drilling teams with equipment setup and ensure operational readiness.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve equipment breakdowns efficiently.
• Ensure the availability of necessary tools, spare parts, and materials for timely repairs.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and operational regulations during maintenance activities.
• Promote safe working practices within the maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and operational standards.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant mechanical role, preferably within a heavy machinery or mining context. A strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems is required for effective troubleshooting and repair.
