About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an AGE technician to provide day-to-day support in the TSS AGE Shop in Dhahran. This full-time role involves ensuring efficient operations, maintaining engineering standards, and complying with RSAF Technical Orders. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, managing records, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient day-to-day support for the TSS AGE Shop operations.
• Maintain good engineering practices and ensure compliance with RSAF Technical Orders.
• Prepare items within the work area for calibration.
• Diagnose AGE issues using appropriate test equipment and technical publications.
• Maintain servicing records for all Tornado dedicated AGE items.
• Execute TCTOs and Special Inspections as directed.
• Ensure adherence to tool control processes and procedures.
• Provide functional guidance to SNTTP programs regarding engineering issues.
• Monitor all supply issues impacting the TSS AGE Shop.
• Provide updated briefings and information on daily progress and highlight any issues affecting TSS AGE Shop output.
• Report and encourage expedient Error Management Reporting, addressing or escalating safety concerns immediately.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve TSS service delivery and foster a Continuous Improvement culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• A recognized qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA. Alternatively, a Part 66 license (current or lapsed) or an equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA.
• Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required.
• Saudi Council of Engineering (SCE) Registration is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment, supported by formal recorded workplace applied training, OR 3 years on the same aircraft type, OR successful completion of a BAESSA apprenticeship program (SNTTP/TSNTTP).
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
• Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety, and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.

Desirable Skills

• Broad knowledge of the Aerospace and Defence industry.
• An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
• Ability to understand and use the Maintenance GoldESP system or a similar platform.
• Full conversance with the interpretation of technical diagrams and documentation.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, focusing on supporting the TSS AGE Shop within BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
