About the Role
BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Armament Technical Instructor for a full-time position in Dhahran. This role involves leading and conducting specialist training functions, ensuring student welfare and performance, and developing new and existing training courses. The instructor will report to and receive support from the Senior Specialist Instructor – ON A/C to meet project timelines and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and lead specialist training functions, conducting specialist training in support of TSI.
- Ensure student welfare in assigned training areas and monitor performance to achieve training objectives.
- Analyze, design, produce, develop, and deliver new and existing training courses, aligning them with customer needs.
- Research, write, and validate advanced training notes.
- Deliver and supervise practical-based On-the-Job Training (OJT) and training consolidation.
- Provide specialist training inputs as a subject matter expert for bidding processes, customer inquiries, and training proposals.
- Specify, design, and develop effective training aids, including computer-aided instruction and advanced desktop training systems.
- Produce training support materials such as curriculum, objectives, syllabuses, course plans, and assessment methods.
- Maintain and review technical expertise to align with technical advances and evolving needs.
- Conduct student assessment and evaluation exercises, implementing remedial actions as required.
- Plan, control, and deliver assigned courses, contributing to cross-discipline courses and investigations.
- Counsel students regarding academic performance or behavior.
- Maintain classroom procedures as published in the TSI, including discipline.
- Stay informed of subject developments and attend staff development courses as required.
- Utilize the TMIS / LMS system to maintain accurate and accessible training records.

- Liaise with support staff regarding task details.
- Responsible for planning and coordinating technical information to support course material delivery, ensuring compliance with current documents and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Detailed understanding of complex and integrated system design and operation for theoretical and practical applications in training and operational environments.
- Ability to operate complex training aids and simulators effectively and safely.
- Supervisory ability within an operational training environment.
- Sound business awareness.
- Good interpersonal skills to teach specialist skills and knowledge across diverse cultures, statuses, intellects, and technical abilities.
- Well-motivated, adaptable, and flexible to operate in a complex technical environment with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of internal and external customer requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of relevant analytical techniques.
- Ability to apply relevant internal and external processes and procedures for self and others.
- Detailed knowledge in the operation and use of IT systems to support relevant systems (computer-aided instruction, desktop publishing, databases, training development software).
- Well-developed planning and organizing skills to meet precise timings required by training programs.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, within a highly complex technical environment that requires the integration of a wide range of skills.
