About the Role

emagine is seeking a Finance SME Natural Gas (NG) (Downstream) to join their team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time role focuses on leveraging expertise in the natural gas business to enhance financial reporting and data modeling related to gas processing, NGLs, gas sales, and distribution. The primary goal is to ensure accurate financial practices and profitability assessments within the organization.

Role Context and Objectives

The successful candidate will play a key role in defining and validating financial practices specific to natural gas operations. This involves capturing existing finance, pricing, and reporting methodologies, as well as advising on the financial implications of regulated and contracted pricing. The objective is to support robust financial reporting and margin analysis within the natural gas downstream sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture natural gas finance, pricing, and reporting practices, including those related to processing, NGLs, sales, and distribution.
• Define gas-specific product and unit-of-measure needs (both volume and energy-based, such as MMSCF and MMBtu) and establish conversion rules.
• Advise on regulated and contracted pricing mechanisms and their impact on margin reporting.
• Validate GCOA, product master, and segmentation outputs specifically for natural gas operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in a senior finance role within a natural gas processing, marketing, or distribution business.
• Demonstrated understanding of gas pricing mechanisms, take-or-pay contracts, and volumetric reporting.

Desired Attributes

• Experience within the GCC gas sector.
• Exposure to gas hydrocarbon accounting systems.
