About Autobia and the Role

Autobia is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with Django expertise to join its team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time position is central to the development of Autobia's customer-facing Marketplace, focusing primarily on backend services, data management, and system integrations.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will work across a Python/Django codebase, with a strong emphasis on backend development. While the majority of time will be dedicated to services, data, and integrations, the role also requires the ability to comfortably handle front-end tasks as feature requirements dictate. A key objective for this position is to ensure fast, low-latency API response times to deliver an optimal experience for users of the Marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, ship, and operate Django backend services and full-stack features.
• Own the development lifecycle end-to-end, encompassing design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop and maintain integrations with both internal and external services.
• Write clear, maintainable code and contribute actively to the squad's technical decisions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience as a mid-senior full-stack engineer with a strong backend focus.
• Solid experience with Python and Django.
• Strong foundational knowledge in API design, data modeling, relational databases, and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency across the stack, including the ability to build and debug front-end features when necessary.
• A performance-minded approach, ensuring low API response times through query tuning, caching, and profiling.
• Demonstrated ownership mindset, capable of taking a problem from initial ambiguity to a shipped and supported solution.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience with B2B marketplaces, catalog/matching systems, or supplier integration.
• Prior experience operating high-reliability systems at scale.
