About the Opportunity

Autobia is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Ruby) to join its team in Dhahran, Eastern Province. This is a full-time position focused on developing and maintaining critical software systems. The role involves working primarily with a Ruby on Rails codebase, with a significant emphasis on backend services.

The Role and Its Impact

The Full Stack Software Engineer will contribute to high-volume money movement systems, processing thousands of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and Point of Sale (POS) transactions. Given the nature of these operations, the role demands a strong focus on correctness, reliability, and scalability. While the primary lean is towards backend services, data management, and integrations, the ability to comfortably handle front-end development is also required when feature needs arise.

Core Responsibilities

• Build, ship, and operate Ruby on Rails backend services and full-stack features.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of your work, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop and maintain integrations with both internal and external services.
• Produce clear, maintainable code and actively contribute to the squad's technical decision-making processes.

Candidate Profile and Technical Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mid–senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend proficiency.
• Solid foundational understanding of API design principles, data modeling, and relational databases.
• Proficiency in testing methodologies to ensure robust and reliable software.
• Ability to work across the full stack, including building and debugging front-end features as necessary.
• Demonstrated experience with high-traffic, high-throughput systems, understanding the importance of performance under load.
