About the Opportunity

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), located in Dhahran, is seeking a dedicated Graduate Assistant in Accounting/Finance/Economics to join the Department of Accounting & Finance. This is a full-time position designed for promising Saudi candidates holding a bachelor's degree who are eager to contribute to academic research and teaching within a leading educational institution.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Graduate Assistant will play a vital role within the department, supporting both research initiatives and instructional activities. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in an academic setting, contributing directly to the university's mission through involvement in core departmental functions in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will undertake a range of professional duties, contributing approximately 35-40 hours per week. These responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with teaching activities and providing instructional support.
  • Supporting faculty members in various research projects.
  • Providing academic advising to students.
  • Performing administrative duties as required by the department.
  • Undertaking any other academic duties assigned by the academic department concerned.

Candidate Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for this Graduate Assistant position:

  • An earned bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field.
  • Completion of a full-time bachelor’s degree program with very good academic grades.
  • Possession of a certificate equivalency if the bachelor's degree was obtained from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Work Environment and Commitment

This full-time role is based at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Dhahran. The Graduate Assistant is expected to be available for professional duties for approximately 35-40 hours per week, contributing actively to the academic and research environment of the Department of Accounting & Finance.
