Job Summary

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Jet Engine Maintenance Technician to join their team in Dhahran. This full-time role involves maintaining jet engines, both on aircraft and as components, ensuring strict compliance with RSAF Technical Orders and established engineering practices. The technician will also contribute to the development of assigned SNTTP trainees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain good engineering practices and ensure compliance with RSAF Technical Orders across all aspects of the Jet Engine work area, including on-aircraft and component maintenance.
  • Perform component maintenance, which includes inspecting, surveying, evaluating, installing, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, servicing, overhauling, modifying, and testing off-aircraft systems components while undergoing On-the-Job Training (OJT) for certification.
  • Install, repair, service, modify, and test aircraft systems directly on the aircraft.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with the standards and procedures detailed within the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
  • Implement strict tool control procedures.
  • Manage spare parts requirements using the GOLDesp logistics system.
  • Provide functional guidance to SNTTP programs regarding any engineering issues that may arise.
  • Execute Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) and Special Inspections as directed.
  • Develop assigned SNTTP trainees.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A recognized qualification such as NVQ/ONC/OND/BTEC Level 3 in the relevant technical discipline, a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment, supported by formal recorded workplace-applied related training, OR 3 years on the same aircraft type, OR successful completion of a BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP / TSNTTP).
  • Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
  • Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health and safety, and proactive hazard analysis appropriate to the role.
  • The successful candidate, whether Saudi or Expatriate, must obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level prior to starting the role or commencing employment in KSA, and maintain it throughout employment.
  • Broad knowledge of the aerospace and defence company/industry.
  • An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a mixed EE/SN workforce.
  • Must be Human Factors (HF) trained.
  • Hold a current driving license.

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, requiring collaboration within a diverse workforce.
