The Role: Offset Printing Machine Operator

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Offset Printing Machine Operator to join its team in Dhahran. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and involves operating various printing machines, ensuring quality output, and maintaining equipment. The operator will be responsible for managing print jobs from client request to final inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various printing machines, including offset, letterset, and screen printers.
• Review client requests to understand the scope and parameters of print jobs.
• Determine quantities required for each print job.
• Match colors for print jobs according to specifications.
• Align and configure printing machinery.
• Inspect random production samples to evaluate print quality.
• Maintain inventory of supplies necessary for printing machine operation.
• Troubleshoot issues with printing machines and perform basic repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance on printing machines.
• Draft and submit reports detailing daily production totals.
• Maintain a clean work area around printing machinery.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, or relevant experience in a print shop environment.
• Vocational/technical school training is preferred; on-the-job training will be provided.
• At least 3+ years of previous related experience is preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate and quickly learn various printing machines and related software.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physically able to operate printing machines, including frequent bending or kneeling.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of digital printers and the ability to perform main duties using the latest printing equipment.
