About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a Senior EMBC Specialist, Emergency Management to join our team in Dhahran, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for coordinating key initiatives related to disaster management at both the Joint Venture and Corporate levels. The specialist will ensure seamless processes are in place to effectively manage catastrophes and disasters, benefiting JHAH enterprise, Saudi Aramco, affiliated private contractors, designated medical facilities, third-party healthcare providers, and government agencies upon approved requests.

Role Context and Compliance

The Emergency Management and Business Continuity (EMAC) framework is integral to JHAH's accreditation and ensures compliance with national governance bodies. These include the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Saudi Commission of Health Specialties (SCHS), and the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI). Furthermore, this role ensures alignment with international standards set by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Joint Commission International (JCI).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop initiatives to position JHAH as the primary Medical Disaster Responder for Saudi Aramco across the Kingdom.
  • Implement JHAH Corporate Policy 009, focusing on Resilience Emergency Management and Business Continuity (EMAC), as directed by senior staff.
  • Execute activities outlined in the JHAH Program 002 Emergency Management and Business Continuity Program.
  • Coordinate optimal staffing levels to provide a qualified team for 24/7 support to the JHAH Command and Control Center.
  • Implement protocols that align JHAH with Saudi Aramco's strategic Top Corporate Risk (TCR) guidelines, governed by Saudi Aramco Loss Prevention and Corporate Policy 40 Resilience.
  • Identify challenges related to risk mitigation and business continuity standards across all JHAH facilities and business units.

Strategic Contributions and Mentorship

This role involves significant strategic input, including the development of initiatives that enhance JHAH's capacity as a critical medical disaster responder. The Senior Specialist will also provide support and mentorship to less senior personnel, guiding them towards the successful achievement of strategic objectives within the emergency management framework.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in emergency management, business continuity, or a related field.
