About the Role

Almarai is seeking a Fire & Safety Officer to join their team in Hail. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing the safety of all personnel, contractors, and visitors across all Hail site locations and accommodations. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and reporting potential hazards to ensure the minimization of risks associated with fire, smoke, and water damage to company resources.

Key Responsibilities

The Fire & Safety Officer will be tasked with:

  • Reporting any unsafe or defective equipment, practices, acts, or omissions to functional management.
  • Ensuring immediate corrective actions are implemented to eliminate or minimize risks.
  • Protecting Almarai resources, including personnel, buildings, plant & equipment, product & raw materials, and information systems.
  • Conducting fire drills and providing fire prevention training.
  • Performing fire inspections and maintenance.
  • Investigating fire accidents and conducting fire risk assessments and management.
  • Managing subordinates and planning their work.
  • Handling incident and accident reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Membership in IOSHE and ISO 9001:2008 certified Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a multi-cultural workforce organization, with specific experience handling fire detection and suppression equipment.
  • 3 to 5 years of previous experience in fire management is essential.
  • Previous experience as a trained fire-fighter with either a Civil Fire Brigade or a large multi-national company fire team is highly desirable.

  • Exposure to computer and SAP environments.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic communication skills.
