Role Overview: Heavy Duty Driver

Alfanar is seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty Driver to join its team in Jazan, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of assigned heavy vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate will ensure efficient transportation and adherence to all operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and maintain assigned buses, trucks, trailers, and other loading/unloading equipment.
• Possess intricate knowledge of proper methods for loading, securing, and unloading supplies and equipment.
• Operate heavy vehicles, including buses, trucks, large tactical vehicles, and ATVs, to transport personnel, cargo, fuel, and ammunition over specified routes.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers using hand tools as required.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of traffic policies and regulations.

Vehicle Maintenance and Compliance

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, performing preventative maintenance as needed.
• Comply with all truck driving rules and regulations, including those pertaining to vehicle size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, work routines, and instructions.
• Ensure full compliance with related policies, procedures, and processes.
• Strictly follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures and regulations.

Operational Effectiveness and Teamwork

• Execute operational activities according to delivery schedules and work instructions.
• Utilize tools and machinery efficiently, managing costs and time effectively.
• Assist in resolving any related operational issues that arise and escalate complex problems to supervisors.
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors, demonstrating openness to directions and feedback.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in heavy-duty driving and vehicle operation. A proven track record of adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines is essential for this role.
