The Role: Heavy Duty Driver

We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty Driver to join our team in Jazan. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of personnel, cargo, fuel, and equipment. The primary purpose of this role is to operate and maintain assigned buses, trucks, trailers, and other loading/unloading equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles, including buses, trucks, large tactical vehicles, and ATVs, to transport personnel, cargo, fuel, and ammunition over specified routes.
• Execute operational activities in accordance with delivery schedules and work instructions.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns, performing preventative maintenance as required.
• Comply with all truck driving rules and regulations, including those pertaining to size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers using appropriate hand tools.
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors, demonstrating openness to directions and feedback.
• Utilize tools and machinery efficiently, considering cost and time.
• Assist in resolving any related operational issues and escalate complex problems to supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Academic Qualification: Diploma Degree in Transportation/Logistics.
• Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Intricate knowledge of proper methods for loading, securing loads, and unloading supplies and equipment.
• Strong understanding of traffic policies and regulations.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and basic inspections on heavy vehicles.
• Proficiency in using hand tools for opening containers.
