Accountant

About the Role

Johnson Controls Arabia is seeking an Accountant to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves preparing month-end journal entries and performing audits and variance analysis on financial statements under guidance. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries to ensure proper transaction reporting.
• Perform audits and variance analysis on financial statements with appropriate guidance.
• Set and achieve daily operational objectives that contribute to the job area.
• Explain facts, practices, and policies primarily to internal stakeholders.
• Address and resolve issues or problems within existing systems and processes, making minor changes as needed.
• Adapt or enhance existing methods to improve quality or value as part of day-to-day activities.
• Handle problems and issues that are generally well-defined and fall within a single job area or discipline.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• A university degree with 1 year of suggested minimum experience, or a 2-year degree with 6 years of suggested minimum experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific discipline, integrating theory and principles with organizational practices.

Skills and Attributes

• Ability to explain complex information clearly to internal audiences.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
• Capability to understand and consider issues across different job areas when problems are vaguely defined.

Work Environment

This is an individual contributor role with no direct responsibility for leading others. The application of knowledge is primarily domestic, limited to locations within a country or neighboring countries with similar cultures.
