AR Manager

About the Role

* Moller - Maersk is seeking an AR Manager to join their team in Makkah, with operations covering Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role involves overseeing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing cost accounting, including allocating and analyzing direct and indirect costs, and performing actual vs. budgeted cost variance analysis.
• Managing budget accounting, which involves developing and monitoring annual revenue/expense budgets for fund control and measuring operating results.
• Handling accounts payable/accounts receivable, billing, and invoicing functions.
• Leading and managing a team, with responsibilities including hiring, coaching, mentoring, task coordination, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
• Developing team members for future assignments and setting departmental direction.
• Developing business and operational areas, establishing policies and practices, and implementing business plans.
• Adapting departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and experience within a functional accounting area. This role requires the ability to apply subject matter expertise to resolve common business issues, operating within established practices and procedures. The individual should be capable of handling most situations independently, seeking guidance only on more complex or non-routine topics. A comprehensive understanding of the business's overall nature and the interdependencies between their function and others is essential.

Leadership Expectations

Leaders in this position are accountable for the performance and results of teams comprising less experienced professionals, frontline workers, and administrative staff. They will be responsible for adapting departmental plans and priorities to effectively manage resource and operational challenges, ensuring goal achievement through direct and indirect reports.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. The role involves working within a dynamic accounting operations environment, contributing to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of * Moller - Maersk.
