About the Role

Landmark Arabia is seeking an Area Visual Merchandiser to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time role is central to developing, delivering, and communicating visual concepts and strategies that promote the Home Centre brand, its products, and services. The position encompasses visual representation across various channels, including in-store displays, window presentations, catalogues, and online platforms.

Core Responsibilities

The Area Visual Merchandiser is responsible for driving brand visibility and sales through strategic visual merchandising initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating closely with key departments to create annual visual strategies and promotional events.
• Working to generate sales, increase brand awareness, and maintain and grow target consumer markets.
• Conducting comparison shopping to maintain awareness of other retailers’ visual merchandising concepts.
• Identifying specific market issues and developing solutions with the potential to impact earnings, sales, and margins.
• Seeking feedback from colleagues and customers on the visual impact of displays and implementing changes as required to support business needs.

Team Leadership and Development

This role involves leading and developing a team of visual merchandising professionals to ensure high standards and continuous improvement.

• Leading a team of Visual Merchandisers to create visual merchandising standards and guidelines for all product categories.
• Coaching and developing Visual Merchandisers to ensure high-quality performance and build talent strength within the VM Concept office.
• Leading and motivating teams to complete work to tight deadlines through strategic and organized planning.
• Identifying and developing training opportunities to address merchandise presentation skill gaps.

Visual Merchandising Execution and Strategy

The position requires a hands-on approach to visual display creation and strategic planning, ensuring brand consistency and impact.

• Liaising with teams such as buying, product development, retail, and marketing to create design themes and plans that include windows, department displays, signage, and pricing concepts.
• Ensuring all windows are displayed in line with the specified marketing calendar/campaigns and comply with window guidelines, presented to a high standard, including window stickers, graphics, and props.
• Negotiating with suppliers of visual materials and props to meet budget targets.
• Working with fixtures and architectural space in the store to maximize space for product assortments.
• Using artistic skills or computer-aided design software such as SketchUp or Adobe Creative Suite to create visual displays and product display plans.
• Creating visual merchandising packs to communicate visual guidelines, including layout principles, visual displays, styling, and signage.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a solid background in visual merchandising and the ability to lead and innovate within a retail environment.

• 2-5 years of experience in visual merchandising.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching and developing teams.
• Proficiency in artistic skills or computer-aided design software such as SketchUp or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects and teams to meet tight deadlines.
