Assistant Director of Sales

About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts is seeking an Assistant Director of Sales to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves assisting in leading the property's segmented sales efforts, contributing to the implementation of sales strategies, and achieving revenue goals. The Assistant Director of Sales will focus on building long-term customer relationships and achieving personal booking targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales leader to ensure effective implementation of the segment sales strategy.
• Assist in developing and sustaining aggressive solicitation programs to increase business.
• Work with the management team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers, and market for the assigned segment.
• Support the development and implementation of internal and external promotions.
• Provide leadership to maximize revenue potential, setting an example with personal booking goals.
• Participate in sales calls with team members to acquire new business and close deals.
• Execute operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence.
• Analyze market information using sales systems to achieve financial room and catering goals.
• Assist Revenue Management with accurate six-period projections.
• Review guest satisfaction results to identify areas for improvement.

Customer Service and Relationship Management

• Display leadership in guest hospitality and exemplify customer service standards.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
• Meet with guests during pre- and post-convention meetings to gather feedback on product quality and overall satisfaction.
• Ensure a customer recognition program is active throughout the Sales department.
• Execute and support the company’s Customer Service Standards and property’s Brand Standards.
• Serve customers by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate features and services.
• Develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure property needs are met.
• Attend customer events, trade shows, and sales missions to build and maintain relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant sales role.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve personal booking goals.
• Strong understanding of sales strategies and implementation.
• Proficiency in analyzing market information and sales data.
