The Housekeeping Supervisor Role

The Housekeeping Supervisor operates under the direct supervision of the Executive Housekeeper and SM-Housekeeping. This role is integral to assisting in the direction and control of all housekeeping activities, ensuring that the cleanliness, orderliness, and physical aesthetics of assigned areas are consistently maintained in accordance with established hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Recording and documenting items that require repair and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions.
• Submitting recommendations to the Executive Housekeeper for consideration regarding painting, repairs, furnishing, and the relocation of equipment or space.
• Coordinating with the Engineering department on necessary repairs and maintenance work, and diligently following up on outstanding work orders.
• Following up and re-checking areas that have not been attended to within acceptable timeframes to ensure service quality.
• Ensuring all equipment and assigned areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
• Ensuring strict compliance with grooming standards as documented in the Employee Handbook.
• Assisting in housekeeping coordination functions, such as communication, as needed and when the volume of tasks permits.
• Drafting or assisting in the drafting of the housekeeping duty roster by providing information on peak periods up to three days in advance, and ensuring this information is updated daily.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Housekeeping Supervisor position are required to have 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant housekeeping role. A demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and orderliness within a luxury hotel environment is essential. Adherence to the company's grooming standards is also a key requirement.
