About the Role at Parsons Corporation

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Construction Manager to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading multi-disciplined teams to accomplish assigned construction management tasks, particularly for attractions and entertainment-based projects. The successful candidate will apply extensive knowledge to oversee all facets of program-wide construction management.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategize, lead, and oversee all facets of program-wide construction management for attractions/entertainment-based projects.
  • Develop comprehensive plans that support organizational and project objectives, effectively allocating resources and time across design and construction phases.
  • Direct the PMC team to ensure work in the field is delivered safely, on schedule, and with high quality, meeting contract documents, relevant codes, and standards.
  • Direct overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
  • Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
  • Ensure services of subcontractors and major construction equipment are available at the appropriate time for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Establish assignments for Construction Superintendents, monitor progress, and recommend corrective action.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend promotions and salary actions.
  • Manage manpower, materials, and equipment assignments to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and meet budget goals.
  • Anticipate and resolve problems such as changes in scope, schedule slippage, and budget overruns.
  • Ensure critical milestones are met for each project phase.
  • Ensure the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing construction progress for higher level management and clients, including formal presentations.
  • Ensure effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
  • Serve as the primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities.
  • Maintain strong client and community relations, including making presentations to local civic organizations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of direct experience in the construction of buildings, large concrete and steel frame structures through to finishes/fit-out.

Essential Skills and Capabilities

  • Widely diversified knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices.
  • Demonstrated effective managerial capability on construction projects of comparable scope and complexity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Desired Experience and Background

  • A track record with PMC (Project Management Consultancy) and Main Contractors.
  • Experience in multiple projects involving theme park development, construction, show and ride systems design or fabrication within the entertainment/theme park industry.

Work Location

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
