About the Opportunity

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join its Project Management and Construction Management (PMCM) team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and will support the delivery of a significant landmark development.

Role Overview

The Construction Manager will act as the Client's representative on site, driving construction progress, quality, safety, and compliance across multiple work fronts. This is a delivery-focused role requiring strong leadership of construction supervision activities, contractor management, and stakeholder coordination within a consultant/PMC environment. The successful candidate will ensure successful project delivery in accordance with schedule and budget objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all site construction activities within the assigned project scope.
• Monitor contractor performance against approved schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Drive construction progress and proactively resolve site issues affecting delivery.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, authorities, and client representatives.
• Review and monitor construction methodologies, logistics plans, recovery plans, and sequencing strategies.
• Chair site progress meetings and provide accurate reporting on project performance.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and project quality standards.
• Review contractor resource deployment and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
• Manage inspections, testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities.
• Support commercial and contract teams regarding claims, variations, delays, and risk mitigation measures.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain delivery targets.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in construction management roles.
• Demonstrated strong leadership in managing construction supervision activities.
• Proven experience in contractor management and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to effectively represent the Client's interests on site.
• Experience working within a consultant or Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environment is essential.
