About the Role

TELUS Digital AI Data Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist Expert (AI Community) to join its team. This part-time role is based in the Makkah region, with opportunities in both Jeddah and Makkah. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring data quality and advancing AI capabilities within the organization.

Role Purpose

As a Data Scientist Expert, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of data, which is fundamental to innovation at TELUS Digital. Your primary focus will involve rigorous diagnostic testing of model performance to identify underlying biases and performance limitations. This role requires providing statistical evidence to drive the continuous improvement and advancement of AI intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and execute comprehensive evaluation frameworks to measure model accuracy, helpfulness, and safety across extensive datasets.
• Perform advanced data-wrangling techniques to transform raw text into optimized training sets specifically designed for Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Detect and visualize complex trends in model failures, subsequently providing actionable insights that will guide the subsequent phases of AI training.
• Develop automated scripts to monitor the consistency of human-annotated data, ensuring adherence to TELUS Digital's established quality standards.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in data science or a related field. The role requires a foundational understanding of data quality, model performance diagnostics, statistical analysis, and data transformation techniques. Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and automated scripting for data monitoring is beneficial.

This is a part-time position. The role is situated within the Makkah region, with work opportunities available in both Jeddah and Makkah.
