About the Role

Datamatics Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. This full-time role requires a professional with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for comprehensive database administration activities, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform database administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain database systems.
• Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
• Monitor database performance, capacity, availability, and overall health.
• Perform SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Manage database security, users, roles, permissions, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and performance issues.
• Support database migrations, upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure data integrity, reliability, and availability.
• Maintain database documentation, procedures, and configurations.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and application teams on database-related initiatives.
• Participate in failover testing, disaster recovery testing, and maintenance activities.
• Support production, development, and testing database environments.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise database environments.
• Practical experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MySQL in production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure database performance, availability, reliability, and security.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with operational scope covering Jeddah. The role involves working within a collaborative team environment, engaging with various technical departments to support critical database initiatives.
