About the Role

Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS) is seeking a Digital Network Lead to deliver and operate secure, resilient, and high-performance network and CCTV infrastructure. This full-time position, based in Jeddah, requires 3-5 years of experience and is crucial for enabling reliable user and application connectivity across on-premises and cloud environments.

Role Purpose and Impact

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure continuous availability, security, and compliance of network and CCTV systems through proactive monitoring, automation, incident resolution, and audit readiness. The Digital Network Lead will also maintain integrated video surveillance systems that support operational continuity, privacy, and organizational safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement network designs and configurations (LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VLANs) according to architecture blueprints and change control.
• Deploy and validate network services for new applications and environments, ensuring design intent is realized in production.
• Operate and maintain network and CCTV infrastructure, monitoring health, performance, and capacity to meet SLAs.
• Execute capacity planning and performance tuning (QoS, load balancing, bandwidth optimization) for high availability.
• Act as an escalation point for L2/L3 incidents across network and CCTV domains, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.
• Implement and commission surveillance solutions (cameras, encoders, NVRs/VMS), ensuring adherence to approved architecture and site standards.
• Configure and maintain network segmentation, VLANs, QoS, and bandwidth profiles to support enterprise traffic and video streams.
• Implement and enforce security controls across network and CCTV environments (firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, encryption, access controls).
• Monitor CCTV platform health, troubleshoot device and recording issues, and ensure retention and archival policies are enforced.
• Provide regular updates to the IT Infrastructure Section Head on infrastructure health, risks, performance, and operational metrics.
• Maintain runbooks, topology diagrams, configuration baselines, and knowledge artifacts.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support, upgrades, and escalations.

Operational Management and Compliance

• Perform routine checks (connectivity, device health, storage, firmware) and proactive corrective actions for service continuity.
• Tune monitoring thresholds, maintain dashboards, and provide operational telemetry for rapid issue detection and resolution.
• Support high-availability designs, failover testing, and resilience planning to meet RTO/RPO and service availability targets.
• Coordinate with change and release processes to ensure safe deployments and minimize operational risk.
• Maintain accurate configuration items in CMDB and enforce configuration baselines.
• Manage integration of CCTV systems with network and storage platforms, including storage allocation and retention.
• Apply hardening baselines, support vulnerability remediation, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Produce audit evidence and maintain traceability of configurations, access, and changes.
• Maintain backup and restore procedures for VMS and camera configurations, participating in disaster recovery testing.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and vendor teams for integrated and efficient service delivery.
• Conduct day-to-day activities in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes, considering leading practices, business environment changes, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
