Ground Operations Manager

About the Role

Cipher7 Business Consulting & Digital Solutions is seeking a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Supervisor to join their team in Makkah, serving both Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role involves overseeing GSE maintenance operations within the Aviation MRO industry, ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repairs on various ground support equipment, including Aircraft Engine transport stands (GE90, T700, GEnx-1B/2B, Leap-1A/1B, CFM56-5B/2A), APU Transport stands (GTCP331-350C, GTCP331-500, GTCP131-9A/9B, PW901C, APS3200, APS5000), shop tools, pallet jacks, forklifts, pallet stackers, and tow tractors/tugs, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Develop long-term preventive maintenance plans based on equipment records, including planning for required materials such as consumables, shock mounts, and fallout parts.
• Attend regular meetings with the production work center and customers to support operational needs.
• Engage with suppliers to lease GSE equipment as necessary to support operations.
• Distribute preventive maintenance schedules and repair work orders, monitoring timeliness and quality of completion.
• Prepare budgets and expenditures for all GSE maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts used, and hours spent on each task.
• Ensure a clean and organized workshop, with all tools, equipment, and parts stored, readily accessible, and regularly inventoried.
• Communicate effectively with team members and external vendors to coordinate repairs, procure parts, and resolve technical issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements for ground support equipment maintenance and repair.
• Follow all relevant processes and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent work execution.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Diploma with 7 years of work experience, or a High School qualification with 10 years of work experience.
• Proven experience as a Ground Support Equipment Supervisor, preferably within the aviation industry.

Skills and Attributes

• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize duties under pressure.
• Capable of promptly completing workshop jobs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external coordination.

License Requirements

• Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid driver's license (light vehicle/forklift).

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities covering operations in both Jeddah and Makkah. The role operates within the Aviation MRO industry, requiring adherence to strict industry standards and safety protocols.
